About The Farm: Elmer Morales – La Esperanza
Elmer’s father, Francisco Morales, has shared his love of coffee with his kids since they were little. They were involved in the farm activities from a young age, starting with learning simple principles
of wet milling coffee, turning the coffee on the patio, and other similar tasks. As Elmer got older, he learned to drive and helped out with transporting coffee and workers as needed around the farm and mill. He also eventually took up the task of supervising the wet milling process.
He explained to our supplier, “Now that I have my own family, a wife and young son, my father gave me some parcels of land to run myself. Together with my dad, he’s helped me continue the work into the future.”
